White Butterflies

You were always there for me

In the wheat field we’d dream together

And fluttered together to

Turn back to two

You were always watching me

The face shining, sweet shimmering

I’d painted in moonlight

I’d been every star to your eye

You were to me

Emptied as the blue sky

Obstinate affection and idle adoration

Couldn’t you see eternity

You prayed for me

Saved me for yourself and

Gave me to everybody

i’d written, i love you, some kind

some time to go
